Journaling:
Tacky the Penguin. Born of the imagination of one very talented writer, Helen Lester. Every 2nd grader loves Tacky. So to celebrate this love of literacy, the elementary school held their annual Tacky Day where each 2nd grader dressed like Tacky the Penguin and was responsible for their own egg throughout the day (hard boiled of course!). With the enthusiasm of one who loves to read, you went all out creating a unique outfit as well as a mansion of a nest for your egg.
