What’s black and blue and purple all over?
Chandler’s first and hopefully only black eye.
Chandler spent the day sledding
with his friend Logan who lived up the
hill from our house. We got a phone
call from his friends Mom saying
that Chandler had had a sledding
accident and that we should come get
him. When we arrived he had a goose
egg the size of a baseball on his forehead.
I went into Mom panic mode and made
his Father take him to the urgent care.
Chandler suffered from a minor
concussion and the Doctor said that
the goose egg (hematoma) would soon
heal but it would drain down into his face
and cause him to have a black eye. I didn’t
believe him until day 3 when Chandler
woke up with 2 black eyes. He looked like
a football player. Sometimes, “life is just not fair.”
