December Daily Album??

I wish they weren't sold out of Basic Grey's new Wassail collectiong @ 2peas. I really want that one. I need to look at what I have though, christmas wise. I'm probably gonna pull things together next week. :)

I like the silver damask cover set from the second link.

LOL, I almost posted that one too. :)

I was looking at the Basic Grey collections too (not sure if I can put a hodge podge of things together and make it look right). I don't have any paper Christmas supplies...how sad! They have some of the Wassail stuff on eBay, but I'm not sure how competitive the prices are...

I'm really wanting to do this project, will have to see if I can pull all the stuff together to actually get it done though :D

I have a feeling I'm going to spend all day wandering around the net looking for pretty christmas-y things to buy for this album. I REALLY need to pull out my christmas box and see what I have to work with first, lol.

It seems like the december one would work better hybrid or paper... well, not really I guess, but it'd be more fun to make those pages without pictures than digital ones.

I think I'm going to pass on this one this year (I think... I'm still reading and thinking about it) but I want to do the other one and if I do, it will be all digital. I don't have enough supplies.

Mine will be mostly paper, with some hybrid elements to it. I might take some of the photos I take and make them a page of their own with a pretty frame and journaling right on it. That's about as hybrid as it will get for me.

Mine will be ALL digital this year. I'll get it printed as a small photobook. I know that with all that I have going on, and financially, that's all I can swing. :) Maybe another year after I have the hang of this, I can do something more elaborate.

I dug into my paper supplies today, and I think I am going to do it mostly paper...with some hybrid elements. I found this album in my stash..I had bought it at michael's with a coupon. I am thinking of taking out the posts and using it with binder rings..

I like how pretty it is...not sure if I am going to cover it or not, what do you think? Will it work? should I cover it?

Dont' know how I missed your post Aaron! I think that album is GREAT! I think it's cute as is, and I would probably do the binder rings too, and maybe add a little chipboard christmas tree to the front. :)

I'm really like this album......but maybe just in general and not for the dec daily.....haven't decided......

Am I gonna have to kick your butt like I did Amy's?

Who said your book has to be anything like Ali's? Who said what you put together won't be amazing and something your family will cherish for years to come? Who said you aren't good enough?

I won't stand for any of this "I'm not good enough" nonsense gosh darnit!!

lol, col! your so passionate. :D i've grasped that i'll never be as good as ali, but that's not good enough for me...lol! maybe a shock of paper scrapping goodness will flow over me and i'll have the nerve to pull up my big girl panties and give it a try...but only of course if i feel it will look wicked good. :p

I'm going to badger you into doing this, FYI. I'm gonna ask you everyday if you started working on the project until you give in.

If you WANT to do it then flippin DO IT! You're killin me smalls!

Whatever to Ali intimidating you...she is amazing, but so is everyone here. It's like saying "man, I won't sing because I can't sing like Celine Dion." Let's start our own circle of people doing it here!

I am going to use that album, and I have been creating some hybrid stuff to use in it...can't wait to show you!

This is my plan . . . since I'm 7 months pregnant, but I really want to do this and DS's birthday is also in December, this year I'm going to do an all digital version. Then, during 2009 I am totally going to start hoarding paper supplies (that way I can hit up the after Christmas sales) whenever I find them and next year I am going to do a paper/hybrid version. I feel good about my decision:) I just feel like if I tried to a paper version like Ali's this year I would give up because I'd get too overwhelmed with that is going on. I'm so excited to see what everyone else does!

Are you guys thinking about going strictly digital or hybrid or ::gasp:: paper???

Im doing it all digi this year. The chances of me completing it going all digi is very high unlike if I try to go hybrid, I might not to. Id love to though but scrap supplies here are so expensive :(

I'm going mostly paper, with hybrid thrown in (I think). I may change my mind depending on the album I go with...just haven't wanted to decide just yet before I think about supplies more. :)

I did make a set of 1-25 circle numbers like Ali has in her albums from last year (and a few this year). They're almost exactly the same, can use 'em for either a digi or paper album. I printed on cardstock and punched a few last night- I think they look fun! :) Might try a red background with white numbers too...

Dude. I love you Aaron. That's EXACTLY what it's like! We're all friends here, with different talents, and we can do this together and encourage each other on! (And I ill serve beat downs as necessary :p)

T those look awesome!! I was thinkin of figuring out something similar. I have some 7gypsies circle stamps (the self inking ones) and I'm 90% sure I have a punch that fits it exactly. Then I'll use some of my acrylic stamps to put the numbers on them.

WOOT! I love when plans start to come together, and I love that we're all pulling inspiration from each other!!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR US TO DO THIS TOGETHER!!!!

Teresa...those are the bomb...I am super jealous and would purchase them in a minute..lol...I actually made some numbers like those in the giveaway.

So here we are...I think we should all do this..digi or hybrid or paper. My goal right now is to get the book done, I really like the idea of getting the pages put together now so that I won't have to do it in Dec.

Those chipboard albums are great prices!! I have a bunch of them, so I am stealing pages from each to use as pages in the book. I am hoping to get stuff together and start this week.

Another side note: At Target today, they had the Memory Makers FaLaLaLa line...and it comes in a project pad, which would be a great way to make everything jive together. Plus, there is even a patterned paper with all the numbers up to 25!! Bonus: it's only $10. I would have got it, but it wasn't really my style. I am more whimsy and fun, and this was more muted..but check it out.

Giveaway? I missed a giveaway? :) I'd happily send you a link for these if you want them, but sounds like you made your own already, sorry I missed them!

I was over at Target tonight and saw the MM papers, they're not really my style either, but I'm having the hardest time finding anything in the stores around here (no LSS in 30+ miles). I'll try Michael's this weekend I think, otherwise it's online shopping...that is if I can find anything I want in stock!

I've already started mine :) I'm going hybrid, 8 1/2 x 11. I have some really cute paper from the Angel Company that I bought 2 years ago and a TON of stampin up cardstock so I'm going that route, I'll print out some elements and use ribbons and buttons also. I'm so excited about this!!!! Still not sure about a cover though, but I'm thinking heavy, heavy chipboard and either wire binding at staples or ring binding. Guess it depends on how thick it gets :)

k. do. maybe i'll give into the pressure. maybe.

p.s. my official new nickname is smalls.

Oh my gosh! I just realized I already have the PERFECT album for this! I have the Maya Road calendar project... if I take away the stand there are 13 sheets of chipboard! WOOT! Then I can add some pages from other chipboard albums sitting around here unused! I'm already assembling it. lol
