girl, you have one thing you have to do now: take care of yourself! that is it!! and write everything your brain wants to do and will be able to do soon, very soon. love you <3I'm still healing from my back surgery. I'm at Day 23, so still have more healing. I'm trying to take it slow and easy but since my brain is on overdrive not having to work through a fog of pain, I have so many things I want to do around the house as well as creatively.
It's 60 degrees here, which is cold for this Florida girl. Tonight's low is 37. Things are heating up though and by the weekend we'll be a high of 77 and a low of 60.
- Made the bed
- Washed a load of towels (now need to move to the dryer)
- Heated leftovers for lunch and watched a couple of YouTube videos
- Finished product for release this week
- Spent some time organizing paperwork/medical bills
- Updated planner and Google calendar
you and your sewing projects INSPIRE me. srsly!!!! ♥I love reading everyone's randomness!
Off to get that coffee now.
- I'm feeling like a car that's approached 100,000 miles with all the specialist referrals my primary care doc has sent me to this quarter: cardiologist, pulmonologist, dermatologist, psychiatrist, and pain management specialist. How many "ologists" can I collect?
- Spent the morning on doctor stuff - a blood draw for another round of lab work and my 9th TMS treatment. And making appointments.
- I think the TMS is actually starting to work. "Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation" for my long-term major depressive disorder. I've had these weird bursts of energy and a desire to actually be around people for the first time in ... well, a long time.
- I get to take my 3 grandgirls to the Dallas Arboretum next Wednesday. The cherry blossoms should be near their peak. All I can think of is the photos I'll get to scrapbook!
- Feeling overwhelmed with where to start on my stepdaughter's wedding album.
- My current sewing project is 1/3 done and sitting on the worktable behind me. It's a collared, button-down tunic for me in an abstract purple seaglass print with a white collar and cuffs.
- Thinking of making lazy chicken parmigiana for dinner tonight with breaded chicken strips and jarred spaghetti sauce.
- Just remembered, I think my 2nd cup of coffee is brewed but sitting in my Keurig. I'll need to microwave it.
I have not heard of those but it looks yummy!!btw, I think we decided to do some silly (because we love it and we are tired) PASTEL for dinner.
do you guys know pastel??

I was actually kind of T-ed today. We have a mayor's race at my school where students can enter their pets or plushies. Today was a free vote day (otherwise, the votes are $1), and they decided to have the kids vote during lunch. That is all fine and dandy, but today I was on lunch duty, and my partner never showed! She didn't even text me to tell me. Needless to say, it was wild & loud. I am not a big fan of lunch duty in the first place, and then having to deal with hyped up 5th/6th graders and making sure they clean their areas and not leave before they are excused.... dude. And then all she said (in a text message after lunch) was, "Oh, sorry. I couldn't find anyone to cover for me."So you just abandon me? And our MS admin is on leave, so I didn't even have anyone to call to help me. Does it sound petty? Probably. But I think it would have been considerate if she had told me before, so I could have tried to find someone to help. It was really frustrating.
[thanks for giving me an outlet to get this off my chest!]

I would go with you if Canada wasn't that cold LOLI love hiking and since rubia hates canada maybe you can come hike here insetad![]()
I live in a beautiful place for hikes.. I have no friends to go with though so I don't do many and typically stick to walks. I keep wanting to try harder to put myself out there to meet some people who hike more but the older I get the harder that is.
I'm on my way! Woot! Last year I drove an hour away to see a waterfall, but there were no people around on a lovely Saturday afternoon. I ended up going down (and then having to walk up) 75 stairs in the woods. When my heart started beating through my chest, I thought that I was going to die alone in the woods. So, I joined a hiking club. At least now there are people to call an ambulance for me.I love hiking and since rubia hates canada maybe you can come hike here insetad![]()

you know when it is nice to be colder? when you are hiking up a mountainI would go with you if Canada wasn't that cold LOL
That is really awesome! (NOT the part about the heart beating through your chest but the joining the hiking club LOL!!) There are a few around and in nearby towns where hiking is an even bigger thing... i just have a hard time puting myself up there or worrying if i'd fit inI'm on my way! Woot! Maybe see if there are clubs in your area. I know my club has hikes ranging from slow, short hikes to long, energetic ones. There is something for everyone. Plus, it pushes me to walk farther.
The beauty of the hiking club is if you don't fit in, you just walk. Most of the time someone will chat with me, but I've been on some hikes where I just walk and keep to myself. Especially because I'm slower and can fall behind because I'm taking photos (scrapbooking fuel...I need photos to use your beautiful kits). That is really awesome! I have asthma and I would need to, I don't know, try to breathe while hiking. lolyou know when it is nice to be colder? when you are hiking up a mountainLOL
We need a slow-poke hiking club. My lungs are very uncooperative too and I live where there's no elevation so any change in altitude is hard. When I drive to the north part of Florida, where it's more than 10 ft above sea level, having to go uphill is weird. Or down 200+ steps into a sinkhole and then somehow get myself out again. And the one time I went somewhere with mountains? I had to relearn how to breathe. (I'd happily pass out on a hiking trail for the views that @KristinCB has though.)I have asthma and I would need to, I don't know, try to breathe while hiking. lol
My sister notices the elevation when she visits but I guess because I live here it doesn't factor in to me now. Our town elevation is 4300 feetWe need a slow-poke hiking club.
