I helped a friend recently and we did the following...the baby is a boy:)

She served her snacks out of toy dump trucks. All the primary colors looked awesome on the counter...we put the baby's name on the trucks with stickers.

I made a 'sandbox' out of a cardboard box. Cut grass fringe out of paper glued it on, popsicle stick swing, etc. (if you are interested I can send you a photo). We poured dry rice in to mmic sand and then she served her potato chips and crackers out of that.

She also had this great idea to give the Mama and Daddy to be a 'special' gift. She melted hershey kisses and then smeared them in diapers...So of course it looked like dirty diapers. She also wrote a really cute poem from the baby to Mama and Daddy...I added that to a special 'digi' tag for the bag. So the bag looked really nice...and then they got poopey diapers...it was really cute and a definite Kodak moment!

I made these using Heather's templates in the shoppe! (I think the kit is Meg's Day by Day, and Krystal's maternity kit... I cannot for the life of me find the kits in the shoppe).

I got TONS of compliments on them.

Those are cute ideas and this will be a boy but I was looking for some hybrid projects. Sorry I didn't make that clear. Looking for decorations and favor ideas hybrid style.

You know I just saw these a minute ago somewhere and thought they were cute! I might have to try this!

I made these using Heather's templates in the shoppe! (I also used Meg's kit... I'll edit in the credits as soon as I figure out which kit it is).

If you're looking for general decor ideas, check out these paper chains as a backdrop.

is there a theme?

Heather Roselli has these templates in the store...

I used the shoe to make a photo holder... could use it to hold ultrasounds, food labels, etc... or just to put candy in. :) Oh - I also used these for a different baby shower - used the shoe as decoration... made a "pair" (in my case it was one girl and one boy because the mama was having twins)... but that would be so cute to have pairs of boy shoes all over... :)

Wow - that's gorgeous! I might have to adapt that for something else.. don't know what, though.. Who knew paper chains could be all fancy-fied?

I made little "wish" cards for a shower... I'll have to find the link again. We hung them up with clothespins.

I also made a "hello baby" sign hung on a ribbon with clothespins. I made it all digi-style and printed it. And yet... I don't think I have any pics! I'll have to look. Anyway, those are easy decorations that add a lot!

I did a shower using one of Traci's old kits Vanilla Sky:
invites (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=79030&title=baby-shower-invitations&cat=500)
diaper cake (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=84848&title=diaper-cake&cat=500)
water bottle labels (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=84850&title=water-bottle-labels&cat=500)

Another with one a variety of jungle/animal kits:
invite (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=61140&title=baby-shower-invite&cat=500)& envelope (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=61143&title=baby-shower-envelope&cat=500)
prayer cards (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=62375&title=prayer-note-cards&cat=500)
diaper cake (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=62124&title=animal-diaper-cake&cat=500)
banner (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=62117&title=baby-shower-banner&cat=500)

Tips:
Pick a theme and find a digital kit (or a variety of kits)
Use the kit to make:
invites
banner
food labels (the little details really help)
water bottle labels
cupcake wrappers or cupcake toppers (or both)
name tags
favor tags OR use the templates about to make favors to put treats in
games (I make game booklets with traditional baby shower games - so all info is in one place)
diaper cake
centerpieces or small vignettes around the room
